Sonny Maliksi

Sonny Maliksi holds a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate and an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University – Pomona.

He prepares future pilots for their pilot’s certificates and enjoys the process a great deal.  “The reward is not just seeing my clients get their pilot’s licenses but also developing friendships along the way”, he quotes.  His flight experience also includes mountain flying and flight operations in and out of unimproved backcountry airstrips across the US and Mexico.  His other duties also include performing inspections and necessary maintenance on the aircraft fleet at CFC.  So when he is not flight instructing, you will see him in his dirty cover-alls turning wrenches in the maintenance hangar or doing paperwork.

As Chief Flight Instructor and Director of Maintenance, his main objectives are to teach his clients to develop into professional pilots even if flying is just their hobby and, of course, to have an extremely safe, efficient, and well-maintained fleet of aircraft at California Flight Center.
